
Amanda Michelle Seyfried was born on the 3rd of December 1985 in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she grew up. At the age of 11 Amanda began modeling and as a child model, she initially signed with Image International Agency in Allentown, Pennsylvania before working under Bethlehem's Pro Model Agency and eventually with Wilhelmina agency in New York. During her modelling career Amanda appeared on the cover of three Francine Pascal books.
Amanda graduated from William Allen High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 2003 and she missed 70 school days during her senior year in high school due to her acting commitments.
Amanda's acting career started when she won the role of Lucy Montgomery on As The World Turns and he then stayed on TV in the soap opera All My Children. Her breakthrough role was playing Karen Smith in Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams and since then her career has gone from strength to strength with a role in the HBO series Big Love and a lead role in Mamma Mia!
